And what if it's not maxed anymore after this update? Nobody knows for sure how HoM works.

What if? What if?
We were told that we get 'points' for each entry in the HoM and not neccessarily have to fill each section. The achievement entries are account-based.
What we don't know is how the 'points' will transfer between GW1/GW2 accounts, and what rewards will be available.

Ah. Hmm, I'll demand my guild be TWICE as grateful for all the oppressor items I gave them, then On the other hand, that's a few more display slots covered. I like the shield already, so I might add some swords axes and so on.
I wonder if the displayed items will be dyeable.
P.S. I'm also worried that now people will expect EVERY new weapon to be HoMmable...

I think the bigger issue is going to be if there are MORE new weapons, it means even more time has passed before gw2. In that case theres bigger issues to deal with rather then whether to hom them or not.

Huh? Sorry, you lost me here. GW2 takes place about 200 years after GW1. There's time enough to stuff in 50 times GW1 content as far as time alone is concerned...
Or do you mean real life time, ie. that every GW:B content delays GW2? Here, I'd say that the delays would be minimal as Anet rather takes resources from GW1 for GW2 rather than the opposite...

Different teams, different departments, different budgets, et cetera.
If your comment isn't referring to GW2 development time then I really can't guess at what you're saying.

What was said was It does not take a full hall to receive rewards. We don't now if putting more than 11 weapons in Valor gives additional rewards.

What's the likelihood of new weapon skins being rewards for this that can also be added to the HoM?

For my part I would love to be able to put my collection of Bo Staves in my HoM. As it stands I cannot.
I will be able to live with the reality of it though

I hope the answer is: no extra rewards for more than 11 weapons, and no difference in rewards for Tormented/Destroyer/Oppressor's. Because then I'd have to choose between QQing... or farming for tormented weapons, more destroyer weapons, and more oppressor's weapons. Buying them won't be an option, because prices will skyrocket...

That would entail them having changed the number of weapon stands for the valor monument which they didn't do. as long as you have all of those stands full the monument of valor is filled. so what you are saying is a moot point.

A point system is HIGHLY versatile. They can easily award extremists grabbing every weapon as well as casuals who lob in a few. The extremists could even get a diminishing reward if Anet wanted. Therefore I'm going to bet that every single displayable component in the HoM will count, and the more the merrier.
Of course maybe only X things in GW2 are particularly desirable and worth grinding points for, so the completionists don't really end up with anything they wanted... that's another matter.

This was a nice update (and blog post) for PvE'ers.
However, the derv update is still shelved and the map rotation was God-awful. Can't PvP'ers get just a little love?
On a side note, I do think this is nice. I just wish they would have made them addable from the beginning. Oh, and I really want a skill update. It's been.......a while.

I do find it funny that they added these to the HOM now, when it seams PT2 is delayed and they need something to keep the people busy till they finsh PT2....Also what i don't get is why they added them at all, i mean people wanted the BMP weapons added and they bitch a lot more it seams then these weapons, but they where never added. I do find it funny that Anet added this now, when they should have just added them in the first place, sometimes i think Anet doesn't really think about stuff.

Inevitably they will have to add the extra weapons for each beyond chapter to the HoM. Though it would make a lot of sense for the descendants having a bit of history from each place, there is already nightfall weapons available in the HoM so now with the canthan crisis, it should work out nicely and equal.

That's right and try not to over analyze this guys. They are probably not going to make the transfer code between GW1 and GW2 to be complicated because the more complicated it is, the more likely it is to have bugs and the more expensive it is to test and maintain. Furthermore, the transfer code is not where they want to spend a lot of their efforts. Most of their efforts would be in developing the game itself rather than dealing with complex transfer rules.
Think simple and straight forward....
I bet it would strictly be account-based only and all weapon types are equal where transferring is concerned.
